Three Things to Know about Diets That Work Fast

Posted in Acai Berry, dieting, weight loss on June 9th, 2010 by Steve Post – 3 Comments

African Mango Plus

When thinking of weight losing, a diet that works fast sounds like the most wanted option: you will get quick results and you will not have to spend ages dieting and paying attention on what you eat. The downside is that the results will usually not last long. The key to permanent weight loss is in adjusting your regular food regime. There are three important things to consider before starting a quick diet.

1. Many fast diets are too extreme
Extreme low calorie diets might give you good results short term, but you are counting the days, even the minutes until the diet is over. And once it is, you will go back to your original diet, and gain the weight back again. This is called yoyo-dieting, which is both unhealthy and frustrating.

2. Many fast diets are too limiting
On top of the calorie restrictions, the selection of foods allowed during a fast diet is very narrow. Changing your regular daily diet with these instructions is practically impossible and often unhealthy. Consuming 10 kiwi fruits a day is not a long term solution.

3. Many fast diets are too different
The quick diet plans differ a lot from your normal diet. Changes are never easy and big changes are even harder to make. The best way to change your diet is to see which foods are behind most of your weight gain and replace them with healthier choices, one by one.

How to lose weight fast then if the quick diets are not the way to go? The diets that work and give permanent results have all one thing in common: they are tolerable! Once you find a diet you can actually like after getting used to it instead of dreaming of the day the diet is over, you will lose weight and keep it off for good!

The Best Cardio Exercises To Rapidly Lose Weight

Posted in exercise, weight loss on May 19th, 2010 by Steve – 2 Comments

The Best Cardio Exercises To Rapidly Lose Weight

Almost everyone out there on a weight loss diet program is focused on what they can do to help that weight come off faster.  One of the best methods of speeding up your progress is to add in some well thought-out exercise that will boost the metabolism and keep you looking lean and firm.

Cardio exercise is a type that does tend to burn off quite a bit of calories so can boost your daily calorie deficit.  Since it’s this deficit that determines whether or not you lose body fat, the higher you can bring it, the more chances you’re going to have of seeing success.

The following are some of the best cardio exercises that will help you rapidly lose weight.

Interval Sprinting

By far and away the single most effective form of cardio exercise for weight loss is interval sprinting.  Interval sprints will boost the metabolic rate up the highest after they have been performed and will cause you to burn more calories 24/7 – even while you’re parked in front of the TV later on that evening watching your favorite reality series.

The one thing to remember with interval sprinting however is that because it is a lot more intense, you shouldn’t be performing it daily but rather keeping your sessions to 2-4 per week total.

Hill Walking

Next, if interval running just isn’t your thing, consider hill walking to help you rapidly lose weight.  Hill walking is great because it will not only torch calories but will also firm up the highs, thighs, and bum region.

Anyone who wants to look better in their lower body will really enjoy the benefits that hill walking provides them.  Just be sure that you aren’t holding onto the handles of treadmill if you choose to do this inside the gym.  That will take much of the pressure off the legs to actually do the work.

Swimming Laps

Third, another great form of weight loss cardio is swimming laps.  Swimming, since it utilizes the whole body, will burn more calories than other forms of cardio and the best thing is that it’s completely low impact.

Anyone who is suffering from knee or back pain will do very well adding this to their program.

Rowing

A fourth great cardio method for fast weight loss is rowing. Like swimming, rowing is superior because not only will you be working the legs, but you’ll be targeting the upper body as well.  Most gyms do have a rowing cardio machine now so try that next time you’re there for something different.

Bootcamp

Finally, the last way to get in shape quickly is to try out one of the new bootcamp classes out there.  These are rapidly catching on among many people and will have you losing weight very quickly.  Best of all, since you’ll be constantly changing the exercises you’re doing, you will never get bored.

Most people have no problem sticking to a bootcamp style workout so that helps them see lasting results.

So consider all of these cardio forms if you’re looking for quick weight loss and a great way to get in shape.

How Can Resveratrol Supplements Help You Lose Weight?

Obesity is becoming a big problem in all the countries of the world and everyone is trying to find an all pleasing solution for it. The problem is’t really obesity, but actually unhealthy lifestyle, which shows itself as obesity, but also as other problems. Our nutritional habits have changed a lot in the past few decades, and our bodies haven’t adjusted to them resulting in a huge epidemic of overweight people.

The first problems arrived when people stopped eating fresh food, berries, fruits, vegetables, and turned to processed carbohydrates for their main energy source. This also caused insulin resistance, and removed a lot of healthy minerals, vitamins and other compounds that are rich in fruits, vegetables and berries.

Resveratrol is one of these ingredients, and as people are drinking artificially sweetened juices today instead of eating grapes, they don’t get the positive effects that they would otherwise. Today there are resveratrol supplements that can be used to replace this deficient of resveratrol in our diets, although it would be a better idea to replace the unhealthy food with red wine, grapes and peanuts.

Resveratrol is important in controlling your weight because it doesn’t only boost your rate of metabolism, and build you more muscle mass via increased levels of testosterone that leads to a further increased rate of metabolism, but it also reduces the amount of estrogen that has an inherit quality of building adipose tissue, and it also directly increase insulin sensitivity, thus freeing the user from continuously elevated blood glucose levels – this is the biggest reason for increased fat mass.

The problem with weight loss though is that it usually requires effort, and most people think that good results can be achieved with a supplement alone. The truth is that if you don’t change your eating habits, and start to exercise on a regular basis you aren’t going to see results.

Healthy Weight Loss Food to Keep the Pounds Off

Posted in colon cleanse, dieting, exercise, free trials, weight loss on April 23rd, 2010 by Steve Post – 3 Comments

After a serious health diagnosis, I was faced with adopting sweeping lifestyle changes. I needed to find ways to eat a satisfying diet while eliminating processed junk foods and sugar.

This concept was completely new to me. How could I make long term adjustments to my lifestyle without being plagued by cravings? I researched my options and buried myself in Googled recipes and cookbooks. All things pointed to shifting my diet to include eating mostly raw foods. This diet shift seemed like the way to regain my health and lose weight in the process.

I began to experiment with recipes and found that there was no need to count calories. Whatever I prepared, however much I ate, I lost weight. Plus, by eliminating dairy products and processed junk foods, some of the old nagging ailments with which I had been plagued disappeared. I no longer suffered from constant nasal congestion that had been ever present since childhood. Also, so many of the migraine headaches with which I struggled on a regular basis were gone. I felt great. My brain felt crisper and the brain fog that had been ever-lurking had lifted.

I was delighted with the way I felt. It became easy to lose weight, which had not been the case since I was a teenager! Incredibly, I was not suffering from cravings for those harmful foods that I left behind. This felt good. This was healthy weight loss food at its best.

There was only one problem, the preparation! A plan with only basic raw foods like sprouts, veggies and fruits just was not realistic. In order to prepare the gourmet type of raw food that would make the lifestyle doable, I had to spend hours every day. I just didn’t have the time to devote to preparation each day.

I had to find a way to incorporate the elimination of processed foods, refined white sugar, and refined white carbohydrates into my life. My new diet was very “clean” and it had to stay that way. My health depended on it.

Still searching, I tried a vegan diet. A regime that eliminates all animal products was much easier to incorporate into my lifestyle. Plus, I could cook and prepare quick and easy recipes that are healthy and delicious in a reasonable amount of time.

It became clear that a combination of the raw and vegan lifestyles is the answer for me. Clean food that could be cooked became the answer.

By making these eliminations and replacing them with good healthy food choices melted 50 pounds from my body. At this point, I am in better shape than 10 years ago. My energy level and stamina have improved greatly. My health has turned around.

It is easy to identify healthy weight loss food. Foods that come straight from nature are the key to good health. If you eliminate processed junk foods and refined white foods, the weight will dissolve – no ifs, ands, or big butts!

Tips for Fast Weight Loss

Posted in Acai Berry, weight loss on April 7th, 2010 by Steve Post – 1 Comment

With the number of obese people rising rapidly, more and more people are looking for ways to lose weight. The only problem is that most people are too impatient to use the old “eat less and exercise more” method. They want a quick fix that will be easy, and give them results overnight. That’s why sales on diet pills have never been higher. While pills can aid in losing weight, there is no such thing as a “magic pill” that will do all the work for you, and provide you with easy, fast weight loss. Below is a list of tips and tricks that will help you see the results you are looking for.

A lot of people think that you have to starve to lose weight, but the opposite is true! If you don’t eat, your body goes into starvation mode, and stores anything you do eat as fat. If you don’t eat at all your body will begin to eat your muscle and your metabolism will come to a halt.

You need to eat healthy foods, but you can indulge once in a while. Don’t deprive yourself, you’re only setting yourself up to fail. If you are craving chocolate, eat a small amount. It’s not always what you eat, but how much you eat that matters. When you don’t allow yourself a treat now and then, you will eventually cave in and over indulge.

You have to do more than just cardio to get that body you want. In an independent study, they discovered that doing strength training 3 times a week increases your metabolism by 70% over a 3 month period. Another trick is to use light weights for several minutes before doing cardio, it will increase the amount of stored fat your body burns.

Take it easy, and don’t worry so much about how to lose weight fast and easy.  You are making yourself healthier everyday, be patient and proud!
