Considering Laser Liposuction

Posted in dieting, exercise, free trials, weight loss on January 6th, 2012 by Steve Post – 1 Comment

Going for liposuction surgery is now not something you need to hide or be ashamed of, for our image-obsessed trend nowadays approves of anything you do that will help you look and feel better about yourself. Sure, liposuction may just be a plastic surgical procedure that won’t give the same healthy benefits as eating right and exercising properly, but as long as you’re willing to pay upwards of a thousand dollars and bear some pain and bleeding the few days after the surgery, you can end up having a slimmer body and a higher self-esteem. And with the popular new techniques available for liposuction, you can even encounter fewer risks while the fat is removed and better results after the surgery!

Laser liposuction is one of the most sought after new liposuction procedures. This special kind of liposuction surgery involves the aid of laser technology, which is beamed at fatty tissues to liquefy them and make them easier to suck out. It is also said that the laser lights stimulate collagen growth on the skin for a smoother result, and that the blood vessels will be less engorged with blood due to the effect of the lasers, so you will get less bruising as compared to the other liposuction techniques.

However, there are also other studies that show the effects of laser provide little or no benefit during liposuction. Laser liposuction is definitely more expensive than other more traditional methods due to the extra expense of using laser technology, and some critics say that the higher price is not worth it and that you may even be paying more money just to get a higher risk of side effects, like blisters and burns, that can occur due to the laser. How much does liposuction cost? Laser liposuction can cost a maximum of around six thousand dollars on part of the body, while standard liposuction is estimated around four thousand dollars. So is getting laser liposuction worth it, or will you be better off saving more money and risking fewer side effects with standard liposuction instead?

On the Web MD site, a study is reported of people who received both laser liposuction and standard liposuction on different sides of their abdomen, and the conclusion was that people with loose skin may benefit more from laser liposuction such as SmartLipo, for the laser devices used can actually increase skin tightening after recovery from the surgery.

Liposuction procedures differ all the time; techniques like water-assisted or Vaser liposuction may be better for you than standard or laser. To get the best results, always visit an experienced surgeon who is properly licensed. Good plastic surgeons can also evaluate which liposuction technique will suit your body best, and provide for you before and after pictures of their former patients so you can be more assured of the quality of their work.

The 5 Most Annoying Things About Weight Loss

Posted in dieting, exercise, free trials, weight loss on December 12th, 2011 by Steve – 1 Comment

African Mango Plus

Anyone who says losing weight is easy probably benefits from a fast metabolism. In most cases, it’s a challenge no matter how you look at it. It’s never something anyone looks forward to, and you know it’s going to involve a lot of hard work. It might be some consultation that most people know exactly how you feel, and you definitely aren’t alone on your journey to a healthier body. However, that still doesn’t eliminate the need to keep a balanced approach in mind while making sure your body stays healthy. You already know the basics behind healthy weight loss and you understand the science. The secret is putting various pieces of advice into effect so that they actually apply to real life. Here are some of the most annoying aspects of keeping on track with any weight loss program.

Exercise – there’s nothing worse than having to work out when you absolutely don’t feel like it. There will be days when you feel like sitting on the couch and watching your favorite movie instead. But the key to making exercise a vital part of your daily process is adding variety to your routine. Rather than settling on one single exercise to burn calories, consider other activities as well. You can also make exercise a lot less annoying if you get your friends on board. Social sports or workout classes can be a great way to break down the tedium of everyday exercise.

The Scale – what could be more annoying than stepping on the scale only to find out that you weigh more? This is a common experience and it de-motivates a lot of people. One simple solution is to not get on the scale and the first place. Most experts agree that weighing yourself once a week is all you need in order to keep on track. Any more than that and it becomes an obsession that can cause you to lose perspective on things.

Fat Free Foods Don’t Work – it would be nice if you could load up your diet with fat-free health items and lose weight automatically. Unfortunately, that’s simply not how things turn out for many people. Don’t look for any easy answers with fat-free foods and always remember that proper nutrition comes with a full menu plan. Rather than complicating the situation with so-called health foods, stick with regular eating and smart choices. Ironically, sometimes the most effective fast weight loss comes from a slower gradual approach with proper nutrition.

Skinny Celebrities – when you’re in the middle of the weight loss program, there’s nothing worse than skinny celebrities showing up on television. All you want to do is curse of them and they’re good genes. It’s even worse when a formally-fat celebrity shows up to endorse a weight loss program and tells you how easy it is. Sometimes you wish they would just shut up and go away. It’s important to remember that many of these celebrities have a whole team of experts that help them to look great. It’s probably not natural, and they benefit from airbrushing or plastic surgery in many cases.

Unsolicited Advice – perhaps there is nothing more annoying when you’re trying to lose weight is unsolicited advice from friends or total strangers. You already have your plan in place and you haven’t asked anyone for help. Yet everybody has their own idea about how to lose weight properly and they aren’t afraid to share it. A lot of people don’t recognize that many tips are incredibly personal independent on specific situations. What works for one person simply won’t work for another without adaptations.

This unique look at losing weight comes to us from our friends at rabbitsadvice.com, a site dedicated to better living and a healthier body. You can find more advice on improving your diet and staying away from high cholesterol foods.

HCG Diet-New Kid on the Block

Posted in dieting, exercise, free trials, HCG on November 28th, 2011 by Steve – 5 Comments

With the holiday season rolling around the corner, any hope to start or stick with a diet plan may soon be thwarted.  Many people joke about gaining a few extra unwanted pounds after the holidays and scramble to lose the weight during the new year.  It is a vicious trap that many Americans fall into.  However, this holiday season you can stay on top of your diet plan with a little help from one of the nation’s most talked about “diet”–the HCG diet.  Before you dive headfirst into this diet, do some research to understand how this diet plan works, weigh the pros and cons, and make an educated decision.

The reason why many of us have an excess layer of fat is because we overeat.  Since the beginning of time, our bodies were biologically programmed to save calories in the form of fat just in case we find ourselves running out of food.  Though this might have been helpful many centuries ago, having enough food is no longer a concern for most of us in today’s day and age.  In fact, most of us are presented with an excess of food that ends up being stored in areas such as our hips, legs, stomach, and arms.

What is HCG?
HCG, also known as human chorionic gonadotropin, is a hormone that is present in pregnant women.  During pregnancy, HCG ensures that the fetus is well nourished by converting calories into nutrients needed for development.  HCG takes the mother’s stored fat and daily consumed calories and turns it into the appropriate nutrients for her baby.  In the 1930s, HCG was originally used by a doctor named Simeons to enhance underdeveloped sex organs in boys.  He stumbled upon the weight loss effects of HCG as he noted how the boys were able to eat less, not be hungry, and maintain proper nutrition at the same time.

How Does it Work?
HCG treatments usually last at least 26 days, 23 of which require a consistent dose of HCG on a daily basis.  It is usually administered in the form or drops or injections.  No HCG is consumed during the last 3 days of a treatment period to ensure that the hormone is out of their body before they go back to a regular diet.  Usually HCG diet does not go past 40 days because the body develops an immunization to the effects of HCG.  In the beginning of the diet, patients are advised to eat as much as they want for the first two days of the diet cycle.  After those two days, there is a strict diet requirement to only consume 500 calories per day.  Usually people consume anywhere between 1500 to 3000 calories, depending on sex and build.  With only 500 calories, most people would be starving.  However HCG hormone allows dieters to only consume 500 without feeling hungry or being undernourished.  HCG hormone converts stored fat into usable energy.

A strict diet plan consisting of only fruits, veggies, and lean meat must be adhered to.  Absolutely no consumption of sugars, fats, and alcohol.  If for any reason, the dieter fails to adhere to the diet, he/she must be subjected to drinking water and eating apples as their daily meal to make up for the additional consumption of food.  If most of the excessive weight has been lost, HCG hormone will no longer work because it only targets stored fat.

What do People Say?
Many people who have tried this diet state that it works wonders.  It works because anyone who is able to only consume 500 calories a day will lose weight.  Think of HCG as an aide to help you not feel any hunger pangs and stay nourished on a simple 500 calorie diet.  Some people who have tried the HCG diet have had some side effects such as cramps, headaches, constipation, restlessness, and slight depression.  Because HCG is a hormone produced during pregnancy, for the 30 days or so while the dieter is on the HCG hormone, they might undergo same feeling as a pregnant woman would experience.

All in all, the HCG diet seems to work for most.  However it should not be viewed as a “miracle” drug.  Remember, in addition to taking HCG hormone, you will need to adhere to a 500 calorie diet for around 30 days or so.  Keep in mind that depending on your own body, certain side effects may or may not appear.  Also, it is important to adhere to a healthy lifestyle after a HCG treatment.  Think of HCG diet as a booster to help you become motivated to start losing the pounds once and for all.  Be sure to ask your local doctor or clinician for more information and HCG diet costs.
